Av. Malyugin et al., ACYLATION OF 3-BETA-(2-HYDROXYETHOXY)CHOL EST-5-ENE IN THE PRESENCE OF LECITHIN-CHOLESTEROL ACYLTRANSFERASE FROM BLOOD-PLASMA, Bioorganiceskaa himia, 23(1), 1997, pp. 75-77
3 beta-(2-Hydroxyethoxy)cholest-5-ene in the composition of the micell
ar complexes with apolipoprotein A1 and palmitoyloleoylphosphatidylcho
line was acylated in the presence of lecithin-cholesterol acyltransfer
ase from human plasma. The initial rate of acylation was 6-8 times low
er than the rate of cholesterol acylation under the same conditions. T
he presence of 3 beta-(2-hydroxyethoxy)cholest-5-ene did not affect th
e rate of the enzymic acylation of cholesterol.
