Abstract
This article elaborates on a policy statement recently adopted by the Board of Directors of CEC-MRDD. The history of the development the mov ement toward more inclusive schools is reviewed. The need for adequate training and preparation for inclusion for the entire educational com munity is explored. Examples of preparation and training efforts are p resented.
