Abstract
Using a multiple baseline design, the effectiveness of a training prog ram was evaluated for behavioral aides providing individualized suppor t for adults with severe disabilities and challenging behaviors in a d ay treatment activity center. This training package was designed to en hance the behavioral aides' overall knowledge base around challenging behaviors, valued activities, and physical, and social integration. Th rough a modification of the Valued Outcomes Information System, and we ekly assessments with their supervisor, all five of the participants w ere able to show marked increases in their clients' social and physica l community integration. Results are discussed regarding implications and possible limitations of the study.
