Abstract
We investigate restoration of the digital images of regular letters an d outline letters of the alphabet, by using spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 Isin g models on a square lattice. We find that the spin-3/2 Ising model wo rks better than the spin-1/2 Ising model for restoration of degraded i mages of letters.
