Abstract
The inhibitory activity of aggregated SQDG toward the alpha-glucosidas e reaction decreased,vith increasing turbidity of the SQDG suspension, Dideacylated derivatives of SQDG, sulfoquino-vosylglycerol and sulfoq uinovose, showed no inhibition toward the reaction, The expression of inhibition by the SQDG family would require a hydrophobic acyl group(s ) to produce an aggregate and/or interact with a hydrophobic site in t he enzyme.
