Abstract
Sorption of vanadium(IV), vanadium(V), and molybdenum(VI) on silica ch emically modified with iminodiacetic acid groups was studied as a func tion of the pH of the aqueous solution, time, and the concentration of metal ions in the aqueous phase. The metal-to-ligand ratio in the sor bent phase was determined. The recovery of vanadium is unaffected by a n increase in volume to 0.5 L and an increase in the ionic strength of the solution to 0.5 (NaCl or KCl).
