Abstract
The reaction between germanium(IV) and Pyrocatechol Violet (PCV) in th e presence of cationic surfactants in strong acid media (up to 8 M sul furic acid) has been studied. Some peculiarities of complexing are exp lained, and a procedure has been developed for spectrophotometric dete rmination of total imidazoline cationic surfactants in sulfuric acid e tching baths.
