Abstract
Primary kinetic isotope effects were measured for the oxidation of cyc lohexane and methylcyclohexane with DMDO in solution and in the gas ph ase. These experiments suggest an electrophilic oxygen insertion mecha nism for the oxidation of alkanes by DMDO. (C) 1997 Published by Elsev ier Science Ltd.
