OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study was to describe the CT features o
f gastrointestinal involvement in seven patients with Henoch-Schonlein
syndrome. CONCLUSION. Although the incidence of Henoch-Schonlein synd
rome is low, it should be considered when CT scans show multifocal are
as of bowel-wall thickening, mesenteric edema, vascular engorgement, a
nd nonspecific lymphadenopathy. It should be considered especially in
young patients with acute gastrointestinal symptoms.
