Abstract
This review presents evidence of the existence and presumed molecular structure of supramolecular complexes formed by enzymes of the Calvin- Benson carbon reduction cycle of CO2 assimilation and discusses the me thodology of these studies. The focus is on the protein-protein intera ctions of enzymes which catalyze carboxylation and carbon reduction ph ases in the cycle. The available data considerably depend on the techn iques employed by various authors. Existence, probable organization, a nd presumable physiological functions of supramolecular enzyme complex es in vivo are under discussion.
