It is proposed that the information about plant macrostructure (phyllo
taxis) is uniformly encoded by a polymeric molecule composed of a fixe
d number of repeating units. Based on this hypothesis, a set of nonemp
irical invariants of higher plants was constructed, and the calculated
invariants were compared with known experimental invariants. Generali
ty of the description of plant morphogenesis by a set of calculated in
variants is demonstrated.
