For ceramics of composition Pb1-3x/2Lax(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PLMN) a strongl
y frequency and temperature dependent dielectric behaviour is observed
. In the whole temperature range considered (200 to 450 K) a high-freq
uency relaxation exists. A lower-frequency relaxation occurs at T less
-than-or-equal-to T(m) (T(m) = 251 K at 10(3) Hz). The dielectric prop
erties of PLMN are compared with those described recently for Pb(Mg1/3
Nb2/3)03 and solid solutions Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3. A correlation be
tween nanostructure and dielectric response is established; especially
the importance of the size of ordered regions (Mg: Nb = 1:1) is evide
nced.
