Abstract
We consider the mixed convection how of viscous fluid in a tube of var ying gap with a travelling thermal wave imposed on the boundary. The n onlinear equations governing the flow have been solved by a perturbati on method. The velocity and temperature are discussed numerically by d rawing profiles with reference to the variations of in-the-flow parame ters. The shear stresses and Nusselt number are discussed numerically through tables. (C) 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
