Abstract
The sol-gel technique has been used for the preparation of silica film s. The properties of these layers were varied by modification with ali phatic and aromatic compounds containing carbonyl groups. Structural c hanges in the gels were observed by IR and MAS NMR spectroscopy. The i ncorporated organic compounds interact weakly with the,eel matrix, for ming hydrogen bridges.
