Abstract
Multipeak structure of the spectra of extraordinary electromagnetic su rface waves propagating in the azimuthal direction in cylindrical isot ropic plasma waveguides with noncircular transverse cross sections is studied with the help of a secular equation. Multipeaked spectrum aris es when the angular period of the rippled plasma-dielectric or dielect ric-metal interface is equal to one half of the angular period of the fundamental mode of the surface wave.
