Abstract
We consider the generalized AOR method presented by K. R. James. We gi ve some convergence theorems for various kinds of matrices, namely whe n the coefficient matrix of the linear system is positive definite, an H-, L-, or M-matrix, or strictly or irreducibly diagonally dominant.
