Abstract
Communication: Visible-light-emitting alternating copolymers consistin g of two different repeat units have been investigated. The synthesis and optical characterization of PDHFPPV (top in Figure) and PDHFMPV (b ottom in Figure) are described. It is shown that these soluble copolym ers can be used as the active layer in light-emitting diodes, just lik e the corresponding homopolymers.
