Abstract
A convenient and stereoselective synthesis of alk-2-enenitriles based on the reaction of readily available S-(beta-oxoalkyl)thiophosphates a nd Se-(beta-oxoalkyl)selenophosphates with potassium cyanide in the pr esence of 18-crown-6 is described.
