Abstract
Recently, a distinct variant of cutaneous fibrous histiocytoma (FH) ha s been histologically characterized as a ''cellular'' subtype. This va riant is often mistaken for sarcoma, including dermatofibrosarcoma pro tuberans. We report a case of cellular FH of the skin in which the cyt ogenetic analysis demonstrated a novel chromosome pattern, possibly al lowing distinction from its histologic simulants.
