HEAVY QUARKONIA

Two complementary approaches to the theory of heavy quarkonia are disc ussed. The nonrelativistic potential models give amazingly accurate pr edictions, but lack a theoretical justification. The expansion in powe rs of vie is theoretically very acceptable, but is not as good in givi ng numerical predictions. The importance of combining these two approa ches is stressed.
