The development of a best-fit unit hydrograph to rainfall-runoff data
is an important problem in flood control hydrology. In this paper, a c
omputer program is described that is useful in determining an optimum
unit hydrograph to rainfall-runoff data, and the sensitivity of the un
it hydrograph to various hydrologic effects. By such an analysis, prio
rity can be placed on fine-tuning data collection where sensitivity is
greatest. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
