Abstract
Three-component aggregates obtained by expansion of boron trifluoride dimethyl etherate and an aromatic compound have been studied by electr on impact and photoionization mass spectrometry. The appearance potent ials of three-component aggregates and of boron trifluoride dimethyl e therate clusters have been measured by using monochromatized synchrotr on radiation. Different fragmentation processes and chemical intra-clu ster reactions have been observed. [BF3(O(CH3)(2))](+) is unstable but stable ionic aggregates [(BF3)(n)(O(CH3)(2))(m)](+) were detected if m > n.
