The integrated cross sections for the diffractive interaction of incid
ent hypertritons with absorbing target nuclei and the cross sections f
or the Coulomb dissociation of hypertritons in the held of these nucle
i are calculated as functions of the projectile kinetic energy, the hy
pertriton binding energy with respect to breakup into a Lambda hyperon
and a deuteron, and the mass and charge numbers of the target nucleus
. A general analysis of the cross sections is performed, and asymptoti
c formulas are obtained for them explicitly.
