A total of 73 Standardbred horses were examined over a 3-year-period. The goal of the study waste assess the most frequent radiographic diso rders affecting the third carpal bone in the young Standardbred and th en, in those cases where arthroscopy was performed, to estimate the re lationships between the bony changes seen radiographically and cartila ge aspects observed arthroscopically.
