Abstract
A multilayered Al/Fe-Mo-Si-B nanostructured composite was prepared by annealing the alternate layers of amorphous (Fe-0.99, Mo-0.01)(78)Si9B 13 (FMSB) and Al ribbons for 30 min al 873 K in the pressure ranging f rom 3 to 5.5 GPa. The effects of pressure on the crystallization produ cts of the amorphous FMSB, the grain sizes of the nanocrystallized FMS B and interfacial phases in the composite were studied, and mechanisms underlying these effects were suggested.
