Abstract
A fully baffled condition for a stirred vessel with a standard Rushton turbine impeller is examined under both aerated and non-aerated condi tions. The results of this study indicate that the fully baffled condi tion is not sensitive to aeration. The relationship between baffle num ber, baffle width and rotational speed(rpm) at fully baffled condition can be correlated as n(b)(B/T)(1.2) = 0.427 ln(N) - 1.796 for a stirr ed vessel with a standard Rushton turbine impeller.
