Abstract
Polyaniline emeraldine base 1 can be easily modified by pyrrolidine an d other nucleophiles, e.g. piperidine, morpholine, alkane-1-thiols and mercaptoacetic acid, presumably via a concurrent reduction and substi tution mechanism.
