With the CFH telescope, we made new observations of the Seyfert 1 gala
xy 3C 120, in the continuum, with a resolution of 0.7''. We detect an
optical jet, associated with the radio jet, from 2'' of the nucleus to
9'', the limit of our observations and measure it from 2.2'' to 7.4''
. It is the 6th extragalactic optical jet known- The optical to radio
fluxes radio is characteristic of a synchrotron radiation. The propert
ies of the galaxy and of its jet are different from those of the 5 oth
ers sources known; thus 3C 120 could be the prototype of a new-class o
f radiosources with optical jet.
