Abstract
Severe hemolysis occurred in a one-year-old boy following partial coil occlusion of a patent ductus arteriosus with a small but high-velocit y residual shunt. Hemolysis abated rapidly and completely after placem ent of a second coil fully occluded the ductus. (C) 1996 Wiley-Liss, I nc.
