Abstract
The frequency discrimination capacity of 63 musicians of different spe cialties (singers, string players, wood and brass players, pianists an d rhythm teachers) was investigated using a binaural frequency discrim ination test. Statistically significant differences between the groups of musicians were found. The string players revealed the highest tuni ng reproducibility. The results show that frequency discrimination cap acity is influenced by specific phenomena of the instrumental educatio n.
