The existence of two species of dwarf honey bees has only recently gen
erally been accepted. Since they coexist in many locations, this leads
to the question of how they differ so that they can both be present.
This article presents a comparison of the biology of these species, pa
rticularly as they occur in Thailand. We do this to highlight what we
do not know about these two very similar species, as well as what we d
o know.
