A PULSE-WIDTH MODULATED POWER-LINE CONDITIONER FOR SENSITIVE LOAD CENTERS

Concerns over process disruptions in sensitive load centers, such as s emiconductor processing plants, caused by short duration electrical di sturbances have prompted development of power line conditioners to sup ply high quality electric power. Recently, a pulse width modulated pow er converter suitable for three phase power line conditioning was pres ented, This paper presents the development of a control strategy for t he application of the pulse width modulated power converter for power conditioning, along with simulation results verifying the performance of the power conditioner under supply disturbances such as voltage sag s, swells, and other disturbances.
