Abstract
The intensity of light scattering by acoustic phonons coupled to a two -dimensional collective mode is computed. The model of an anisotropic elastic medium with anyon layers is considered. The results obtained a re applied to calculate the angle dependences of the light scattering intensity for the model suggested recently and to interpret the acoust ic anomalies observed experimentally in Nd2CuO4 and Pr2CuO4 single cry stals.
