Abstract
Two novel operations for cerebral palsy are described. Both procedures , originally proposed and performed by Gage, have been advocated as bi omechanically more effective than previous procedures in achieving the objectives of eliminating hip and knee contractures in cerebral palsy . Description of the operative technique and the rationale of use are stated to assist the operator.
