Abstract
The thermal neutron capture cross sections of Ti-48, V-51, Cr-50,Cr-52 ,Cr-53 and Ni-58,Ni-60,Ni-62,Ni-64 were re-estimated using recent data on the thermal neutron capture cross-section of the N-14. The gamma-r ay spectra emitted after thermal capture were studied using the IEA-R1 2 MW research reactor and a pair spectrometer with a Ge(Li) detector and two NaI(T1) scintillators. The spectrometer efficiency calibration curve was verified by calculating the prompt gamma-ray intensities fr om the Cl-35(n,gamma)Cl-36 reaction. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
