Abstract
The aging process of sodium alginate (ALG-Na) and carboxymethylcellulo se sodium (CMC-Na) solutions was studied in terms of temperature and t ime. Rheological measurements were performed to characterize ALG-Na an d CMC-Na solutions. The influence of ionic strength and pH was involve d in the study. Kinetics of dynamic viscosity changes were described b y the Arrhenius equation and activation energy was determined.
