Abstract
We describe the circumstances that led to the building up of a home ca re service for terminally ill cancer patients in a part of southern Sw itzerland. We describe the goals, the structure and the functioning of this service as it works in two areas. We give some results of a retr ospective study on hospitalization, home care and death at home.
