Abstract
Right-sided bidirectional superior cavopulmonary anastomosis provides for satisfactory pulmonary arterial growth in infants and children wit h complex congenital heart defects and enhances growth of a small righ t pulmonary artery. Growth of the left pulmonary artery, particularly in younger patients, needs close attention to confirm the safe role of bidirectional superior cavopulmonary anastomosis in long-term palliat ion.
