Abstract
Catalytic properties of Cu-ZSM-5, Co-ZSM-5, and Co/Cu-ZSM-5 are compar ed in C2H6 Oxidation and N2O decomposition. ESR spectroscopy is used f or monitoring both valence and coordination states of CU2+ in the samp les. It is shown that a solid-state promotion of Cu-ZSM-5 zeolite by c obalt ions results in an over-additive increase of the catalyst activi ty in the C2H6 total oxidation and in a noticeable rise in the thermos tability of the catalyst The stabilization of both ions inside zeoliti c channels for the bicationic Co/Cu-ZSM-5 system is assumed.
