Abstract
The macroscopic examination of 40 anatomical preparations of the elbow has enabled us to describe the location of cartilaginous lesions to t he humeral, radial and ulnar joint surfaces, A protocol for the macros copic examination of the lesions was drawn up for the observation of 4 0 anatomical elbow-joint preparations. The results demonstrated that t he cartilage of the lateral compartment (humero-radial) was preferenti ally affected as compared with that of the medial compartment (humero- ulnar) for which it will be necessary to search for a functional expla nation.
