Abstract
A chirped Bragg grating fibre external cavity semiconductor laser is h ybridly modelocked to generate light pulses with perfectly linear wave length chirp, resulting in Fourier-transform-limited 2.5 ps pulses inc orporated with subsequent chirp compensation. The setup facilitates wa velength tunability across the whole grating bandwidth (15 nm) by chan ging the modulation frequency.
