S. Appleby et S. Steward, MOBILE SOFTWARE AGENTS FOR CONTROL IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS, British Telecom technology journal, 12(2), 1994, pp. 104-113
Mobile agents are computational processes which are capable of moving
from node to node around a network. Their use is proposed for the cont
rol of distributed systems. It is argued that the use of mobile agents
can result in an intrinsically robust and adaptable control system wh
en used in conjunction with suitable programming guidelines.
