Abstract
The Capillary Zone Electrophoretic separation of the four common enzym es of Cellulase, the endo-(EG I, EG II) and the exo-(CBH I, and CBH II ) glucohydrolases from the fungi Trichoderma Reesei, is presented. The separation using underivatized fused silica capillaries with 0.03 M N a2HPO4 at an optimum pH of 9.2 proved successful, rapid, and reproduci ble. Variations in buffer type, ionic strength, pH, temperature, and r educed electroosmotic flow and their effects on the separation were in vestigated revealing a significant effect on the efficiency, the separ ation, and the integrity of the enzymes.
