The kinetics of the amorphous-to-crystalline transition in Se70Te30 gl
ass has been studied using electrical conductivity as a sensitive para
meter characterizing the transformation process. The experimental data
were fitted to the well-known Avrami theory of transformation kinetic
s. A mean value for the growth parameter n = 1.51 +/- 0.03 and effecti
ve activation energy of crystal growth E = 104.2 KJ mol-1 have been ob
tained in the temperature range 360-375 K for the present system.
