Four identities are developed that involve the sum of products of the
g(n)(m)(xi(j)) polynomials that appear in the spherical harmonics (P-N
) method in plane-symmetric, monoenergetic transport theory with aniso
tropic scattering. Two identities are sums over the index n and two ar
e sums over the index j. The identities can be used for numerical test
s when computing high degree polynomials with a high order of scatteri
ng anisotropy.
