The problem of diffusion of a chemically active component (acid) throu
gh a polymeric composite filled with; inhibitor is analyzed. The inter
action of duffusant with the filler is considered as a combination of
two simultaneous reactions proceeding with different rates. The soluti
ons are obtained that describe the propagation of diffusion front by t
he laws l similar to t(0.5) and l similar to lnt. The relations are de
rived between the characteristic parameters of the process and the mol
ecular constants of substances. The results are used to describe the d
iffusion of hydrochloric acid through a pentaplast sample filled with
barium oxide or zinc.
