The phase diagram of ternary system LaCl3-KCl-LiCl has been investigat
ed by means of DTA. It was found that the ternary system consist of tw
o pseudoternary system. There are five primary crystallization surface
s, seven secondary crystallization lines, two ternary eutectic points
and a ternary peritectic point in the system LaCl3-KCl-LiCl. Three rea
ctions occurred in the system LaCl3-KCl-LiCl are: L = KCl+LiCl+K2LaCl5
