Abstract
A spectral technique is proposed for studying and predicting chaos in a one-dimensional array of Chua's circuits. By use of a suitable doubl e transform, the network is reduced to a scalar Lur'e system to which the describing function technique is applied for discovering the exist ence and the characteristics of periodic waves. Finally, by the comput ation of the distortion index, an approximate tool is given for detect ing the occurrence of chaos.
