DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS AND TYPES OF THE D EMANDS OF AN INTENSIVE-CAREUNIT

Presented is the description of the objective, environmental demands o f a medical intensive care unit (MICU). These are significant as the s ituational background of the subjective perception of working-situatio n by nurses and physicians. Therefore on the one hand a strain-index o f the MICU in process of 101 days showes the daily variation of strain ing variables and a cycle of 33 days. One the other hand we found days with a specific pattern of straining variables by a factor-analysis. These results were discussed on a stress-theoretical view.
