Abstract
Thermodynamic quantities of a hydrogen-bonded chain model are calculat ed by means of the effective potential method assuming a non-linear do uble-Morse interaction. The relevance of the quantum effect is pointed out, especially through the modification of the intensity and positio n of the non-linear contribution to the specific heat.
